Available Packages
The first chapter is the hardest to nail! For $20, I will read and critique a first chapter of up to 5,000 words to help you make it the best it can be, to grab your audience and pull them in, whether they're readers or agents.
This critique includes line-level comments as well as a brief edit letter.
Struggling with making a scene cohesive? Try a single scene critique! For $15, I will review a scene of up to 5,000 words, leaving line level critiques and writing a brief edit letter on ways to improve your scene, whether that be through pacing, character development, dialogue, or other craft aspects.
I am now offering manuscript critiques at a base rate of $0.005 per word, with a minimum of 20,000 words per manuscript.
What can you expect from a manuscript critique?
- In line comments about character and plot development, worldbuilding, pacing, and consistency. Additionally, my reading reactions!
- A 2-4 page edit letter detailing more in-depth thoughts on your manuscript and the above topics.
There is also an option to add on in-depth line level critiques for an additional $0.0025 per word.
Perfect for indie authors who are trying to create a book blurb, a blurb critique helps you refine your back copy and target it to your ideal audience. One blurb critique (up to 350 words) is $10.
A worldbuilding evaluation is perfect for those who want to iron out their worldbuilding with someone more experienced. This $30 evaluation consists of a 45 minute video call where I will review your worldbuilding with you, highlighting the strengths and making suggestions for improvement and consistency.
The Worldbuilding Consultation is aimed towards people who struggle with or just want to expand their worldbuilding. This package begins at a rate of $110 for two hours, with the option to add additional hour-long sessions at a rate of $40 an hour. This is more in-depth brainstorming and collaboration between C. K. and the author than in an Evaluation!
